Responsibilities:


  • As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with a focus on Europe, you will work in a global team with a globally oriented, SAPbased integrated software solution and use your expertise to ensure that the chemical products of the Chem-Trend Group comply with the relevant legal regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Within the scope of their activities you should maintain substance data for the raw materials used, such as hazardous substance classifications, global listing status with a particular focus on REACH and also reconcile this substance data within the global Chem-Trend Group.
  • Classify our preparations according to the REACH/ CLP regulation using specialized software tools, check the resulting safety data sheets for accuracy and release them for use.
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries on product safety or chemical regulatory issues in close cooperation with our development and sales team.
  • Provide information on a confidential basis on the chemical composition of our preparations to occupational physicians, employers' liability insurance associations and authorities
  • Provide internal support on hazardous substance issues such as hazardous substance registers, risk assessments of hazardous substances, etc.
  • In the case of imported raw materials or preparations, support in ensuring REACH conformity, as well as compliance with quantity or import restrictions.

Qualifications:


  • You have completed a scientific education, preferably in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering or comparable.
  • Ideally, you already have professional experience in the area of hazardous substances law or have relevant additional training, especially in the area of classification of preparations and preparation of safety data sheets.
  • You speak fluent German and English, and ideally another European foreign language.
  • In addition to being proficient in the use of standard software, such as Office 365, you ideally already have experience in the SAP environment and/or in database research on chemical law topics.
  • You are a team player with a structured, systematic and resultsoriented approach to work, who also fits in well in multicultural work groups and for whom collaboration via video conferencing with Microsoft teams is not a particular challenge.
  • As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be able to organize and prioritize upcoming tasks in a customeroriented company and, if necessary, collaborate competently and in a resultsoriented manner with colleagues from the Research and Development department, as well as with contacts from Sales, Production or our customers' specialist contacts.
