50 - this is the number of markets within the Region that you would be responsible for managing multi-country projects to fuel growth and/or improve productivity.

The Commercial Excellence & Digital Head is a key member of the regional Commercial team.

He/she is responsible to drive strategy and execution of SFE & Analytics, Customer Engagement, Training & Development programs across the commercial organization within Region Europe, while partnering with Sandoz Technology on the prioritization of digital technologies and ensuring their deployment in countries.

Your key responsibilities:


Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Define our omnichannel customer engagement strategy and the implementation plan and ensure buy-in from the organization and the European Leadership Team (ELT).
  • In collaboration with the countries define and share strategic vision, goals and owns the implementation plan for the function
  • Continuously improve Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Strengthen Performance management, including Analytics across the Region
  • Take the organization further on its multichannel journey to improve Customer Engagement and further fuel Sandoz' inmarket performance
  • Drive Commercial capability building, i.e. Training & Development for commercial functions. Lead the development and implementation of key capability building programs in collaboration with countries as well as Sandoz Global Training & Development
  • Orchestrate the creation & implementation of Region Europe's Digital roadmap, based on a strong governance model including clusters and countries, to provide RE with the proper supporting digital infrastructure, including CRM systems

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • University degree, advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or PhD desired
  • English proficiency is a must, additional European language(s) an advantage
  • Background in management consulting, pharmaceutical industry, medicine or FMCG
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is a must
  • Implementation of Omnichannel Customer Engagement approach is a must
  • Commercial Excellence or business leadership experience
  • Strategic mindset with downstream commercial excellence, sales, and marketing leadership required
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change, and to motivate others
  • Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fastpaced, matrixed environment leveraging his/her strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent project management capabilities and ability to continuously align multiple stakeholders
