Role

We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join us.

You will be working closely with engineers and product management to take Soba to the next level and realise its vision of allowing anyone to make games.

You will work through the whole lifecycle, from proposing initial concepts to ensuring we ship products to the highest standards.

You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of product design, from discovery to delivery (including research, interaction design, ux writing, prototyping & user testing), and communicating the product to different stakeholders.

Tasks

What you'll do

• Contribute to highlevel strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams
• Decide on product priorities
• Design beautiful, simple, innovative, and intuitive experiences and flows, often with input from engineers and other designers and product managers
• Gather feedback early through various prototyping forms.
• Work directly with engineers on implementing features
• Act on feedback from inperson and online user tests and metrics and data
• Mentor junior members of the team as needed

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Passion for interaction design and ability to prototype interactive experiences
• Strong user experience, user interface, and visual design skills
• An innovator with lots of ideas who sees unique solutions when most would not
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. You'll be expected to clearly communicate design decisions to leadership, engineers, and other teams
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
• You understand the big picture but are not afraid to go to the details
• You set a high standard for yourself and others in the team
• You seek feedback from both users and your colleagues; You have a shipping mentality
• You constantly look ways improve yourself and develop your craft

Qualifications:

• Experience in building consumer products or games
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or similar design tools
• Proficiency in interactive prototyping tools

We're open for both remote and on location (Berlin) applicants. We have a flexible work-from-home policy. For remote applicants being able to visit Berlin regularly is a plus.
