Tasks:


The Sr. Director Commercial Program Management is responsible for coaching, developing and giving clear directions to Commercial Program Managers, to support the business growth of CSI customers through the consistent management of sales activities and their partnership with their key stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities:


  • Manage and lead the diverse CPM team, communicating company and functional team goals and expectations. Includes hiring, training, change management and communicating team performance.
  • Motivate team members and assess individual performance. Provide support to management, including hiring and training, and keep management updated on team performance.
  • Coach CPMs to contribute to the Customer Development Plan (CDP) process by focusing efforts on established priorities and provide recommendations and insights.
  • Manage the pipeline quality, ensuring that customer pipeline is accurately reflected in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM/Salesforce) for all sectors in the regions.
  • Develop the CPMs to contribute to the opportunity assessment process, providing customer insights and sharing knowledge where applicable.
  • Coach CPMs on the project management and execution of business review meeting, business unit initiatives and strategic customer projects, providing clear guidance based on established priorities.
  • Support CPMs as required maintaining and growing the relationships with their different stakeholders and touch points.
  • Communicate with sector and functional teams on areas of opportunity and improvement in all the areas above.
  • Provide customer thought leadership and insights and share best practices.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree/Tertiary Education in related discipline and 815 years' experience in related field OR Master's Degree and generally 512 years' experience in related field OR equivalent professional experience
  • 5 years of experience in the Logistics Industry
  • Experience in one or more DPDHL Business Units with knowledge of DHL operations, products, and capabilities
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, stakeholder management, communication and virtual team management skills
  • Business Acumen and understanding of key financial and commercial principles
  • Understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, reporting tools to support sales activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate through a global, crosscultural and crossBU working environment and work in a matrix structure
  • Great analytical, problemsolving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority
  • Strong relationship management, project management and operational skills
  • A proven change leader with a highly selfmotivated mindset for excellence & innovation
