Duties:


  • Utilize specialized skills for training and/or interview victims, offenders, children, Family members regarding allegations of abuse or neglect.
  • Provide ongoing case management services, monitor risk level to ensure appropriate levels of service.
  • Provide treatment recommendations to internal committees.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical intake interviews with children and/or adult family members.
  • Utilize automation systems including local electronic health records systems.

  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic reverification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
  • Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
  • This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
  • This position requires a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed.
  • This position may require you to be oncall on a rotational basis, responding to emergency calls at times beyond the normal duty day.
  • This position requires a valid, stateissued and USAREUR Driver's License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Command's structure.

Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.


  • In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Experience required:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes; 1) interviewing victims, offenders, children, and/or family members regarding allegations of domestic violence, child abuse or neglect; providing crisis intervention or therapy to abusers or victims of abuse; 2) developing treatment plans to those involved in abuse; 3) and providing administrative or technical oversight of clinical assessment, compilation, analysis, crisis intervention, treatments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).


  • Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Licensure:

A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction is required.

  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • This is a Career Program (CP) 5

  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS
