DAYTON PROGRESS has been a subsidiary of the MISUMI Group since 2012, a global manufacturer of configurable components and standard components for Press Die & Mould, special machining and factory automation.

This global corporate structure means that toolmakers and press operators can rely on the fact that the required components are available everywhere - no matter which norms and standards they follow.


The job:


DAYTON PROGRESS is looking for an accountant for our subsidiary in the UK.

  • Bookkeeping (general ledger + side ledgers i.e. fixed assets, AP and AR)
  • Payroll
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Treasury & Liquidity planning
  • Budgeting/forecasting
  • Support and complete Statutory audit
  • Taxation
  • Preparing Tax Returns in a timely manner
  • Accounts Payable pocessing in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicator to external stakeholders (legal, tax, internal/external audit)
  • Financial analysis
  • Management consulting/adhoc analysis on financial impacts of projects/decisions
  • Handle import and export documentation

Your profile:


  • At least 4 years work experience as an accountant
  • Have experience of Sage 200 Professional. Operation & Development
  • Have sound knowledge of MS Office particularly strong in Excel
  • Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Indepth knowledge of UK accounting.
  • Very good organizational skills
  • High social, intercultural and communicative competence
  • Team Player
  • Initiative

Advantagous but not essential

  • IT affinity to support our EU IT in the administration of project implementation
  • Knowledge of HR practises
  • Company Handbook management
  • Warehouse stock control
