Description


SAIC is seeking a qualified Live Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Integration Support expert for the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program in Kaiserslautern, Germany.


AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.

This position supports the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) at Einsiedlerhof AS, Germany.

The LVC Integration Support expert will:

  • Provide operational and technical expertise to plan, integrate, support, and document LVC capabilities within the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States African Command (USAFRICOM) theaters.
  • Link UAWC capabilities with Joint, Allied, and Coalition LVC capabilities to support warfighter training.
  • Coordinate technical planning and engineering to provide realistic simulation and LVC capabilities for exercises, training events, and mission rehearsals within the USEUCOM and USAFRICOM theaters, with NATO Allies, and with Coalition Partners.
  • Coordinate with staff action officers on technical and operational topics related to this effort.
  • Participate in UAWC exercise and training event planning and development associated with LVC capabilities and requirements.
  • Integrate, support, and document M&S capabilities and emerging technologies to promote LVC efforts with Joint, Allied, and Coalition commands, units, and institutions. This includes NATO Modeling and Simulations Groups (NMSGs) and Distributed Simulation Training (DST) efforts.
  • Analyze M&S and LVC problems discovered during exercises and training events.
  • Evaluate and test new and emerging technologies associated with M&S and LVC, and advise leadership on opportunities to improve exercises and training events.

Qualifications
Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • LVC Modeling, Simulation, and Distributed Mission Operations experience.
  • Experience as a rated or mission crewmember.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and delivering briefings to diverse audiences.
  • Waiver of experience requirements will be addressed by the UAWC on a casebycase basis and approved by the UAWC Commander or FEDSIM COR.
  • Security Clearance: Secret. Eligible for Top Secret / SCI
Desired Experience

  • Experience with Distributed Mission Training development and management.
  • Experience in developing LVC training events.
  • Experience in planning and conducting Joint and Allied exercises and training events.
  • Experience in International Traffic in Arms compliance and Delegation of Disclosure Letter processing.
  • Familiarity in Cross-Domain Information Sharing and Cross-Domain Solution technologies.
