PhD Student (f/m/d) Experimental Physics (magnetism)

  • With cuttingedge research in the fields of ENERGY, HEALTH and MATTER, around 1,500 employees from more than 70 nations at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) are committed to mastering the great challenges facing society today.
The Department of Magnetism is looking for a
PhD Student (f/m/d) Experimental Physics (magnetism).

The weekly working hours in the 1st year are 19.5 hours, an increase to 29.25 hours per week from the 2nd year and to 39 hours per week from the 3rd year is possible.
Your tasks
- # Experiments using ferromagnetic resonance
Sample patterning (electron beam litography, optical litography)
Thin film fabrication


Profile:

- # Completed university studies (Master) in the field of Physics or related field
Experience with lithography, thin film deposition and/or magnetism
Good communication and teamwork skills
Good knowledge of written and spoken English (B1/B2)
