Job Purpose

An Experienced construction supervisor will be involved in the supervision of contractors and other staff in the field and will oversee the construction activities that occur on the worksite.

He or she will plan, oversee, and implement construction efforts at work sites and report to the construction manager. The supervisor will part of a high-performing team responsible for the deployment of FTTH.


Key Responsibilities:

• The Telecoms construction Supervisor is responsible for deployment of on route OFC, ensure quality of work, get approve from client, as-built preparation and able to perform HOTO (Handover and takeover) activity.
• Should be able to supervise surveyor activities and able to guide surveyor time to time as per client requirement. He is also responsible for quality survey.
• 3. Responsible for the collection of all construction data from field and report on daily basis. 4. Employ associated industry guidelines and client specifications. 5. Lead and work effectively with surveyors, construction staff, contractors, and subcontractors' staff.7. Work with other construction supervisors to provide the construction reports to the required standard, format and output, within the required timescales.
• 8. Maintain effective communication between clients, main/subcontractors, and supply chain. 9. Produce and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and databases where necessary to facilitate the above tasks. 10. Ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to whilst on site such as Health & Safety, NRSWA, and CDM etc. 11. He/She may also be required to undertake duties within other areas of the company as and when required.

Key Deliverables

• Participate in 'lessons learned and contribute to the improvement of processes.
• Participate or lead in the development of equipment, methods, or software.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles as required to ensure they are always available.
• Prepare reports and presentations for periodic updates on project deployment activities and regularly update the management with project progress update dashboards.
• Assist with project evaluation, field trials and Proof-of-Concept of the project.
• Coordinate construction schedules.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

• BE/B Tech /M Tech (Civil/E&TC), Engg Diploma or University Degree businessrelated disciplines.

Required Experience:
Years of Telecom surveying or relevant experience.- 2. Experience in telecoms surveying in utilities and construction.- 3. Conversant in the use of optical fiber communication equipment (OTDR/LSPM/Splicing Machine/VFL).- 4. Good IT skills including competency in the Microsoft Office software suite.- 5. Ability to work to deadlines and priorities work accordingly.- 6. Forensic attention to detail.- 7. Good communication skills - both written and verbal.- 8. Professional telephone manner.- 9. Good organizational skills.10. EU Driving license.
