ISDC - International Security and Development Center is a non-profit academic institute based in Berlin, Germany. We believe in the power of data to study the impact of violent conflict, humanitarian emergencies, and fragility on lives and livelihoods.
(part-time — hours per week)
to support our Peacebuilding Research Program. The Peacebuilding Program examines patterns of violence, peace processes, and interventions that can contribute to peace.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, matching, and analysing quantitative data;
- Conducting literature searches and reviews; and
- Helping us communicate our research by drafting project reports, academic papers, and policy briefs.
We think you'd be a great match if you:
- Have a strong first degree in economics, data science, or a related discipline;
- Have experience in conducting statistical / econometric analysis in R, Stata, or similar software;
- Are capable of fluently communicating and writing in English; and
- Are currently enrolled as a student; preferably in a Master's degree program in the wider Berlin region.
