Your mission:


Are you a highly skilled accounting professional with a passion for multinational work environments? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of German accounting principles and tax regulations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Head of Accounting & Administration at EPA Images, a global visual content provider with HQ's in Frankfurt and employees and customers around the world.


Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Leading and managing a team of professionals in Frankfurt HQ's and EPA offices abroad, providing coaching and guidance to ensure good performance and implementation of the company policies
  • Supporting the President & CEO in all financial, reporting and tax related issues also for EPA establishments abroad
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and liquidity reports
  • Handling the annual archive impairment test and accounts audit in cooperation with auditors and tax consultants, and liaising between them, the controller and the President & CEO
  • Handling company communication with banks and shareholders providing financial support to EPA
  • Cooperation with the controller in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Overseeing the invoicing and dunning process in close cooperation with the account managers from the Sales & Marketing department
  • Management of company's assets, insurances and trademarks
  • Responsible for company payments and tax returns and refunds
  • Supervision of travel management, purchases and logistics in close cooperation with the Editorial and IT departments
  • Cooperation with the HR department in all matters related to payroll and on/off boarding of employees


Our/your aim is to continue the modernization of a department that is critical to the company's best performance and growth, ensuring deadlines are met, implementing standardized processes and robust internal controls, promoting compliance and accuracy as basic rules, supervising the implementation of expenses guidelines and other company policies, conducting KPI's evaluations of team members and assisting them on new procedures and techniques.


Your profile:


  • A degree as Certified Accountant and/or relevant and proven experience for the position
  • Good computer skills (MS Office) and deep knowledge of Business Central (Navision)
  • Proficiency in German and English, Spanish is an asset
  • Ability to work under timepressure and heavy workload during audits, yearend reports and shareholders' meetings
  • Team leading and communication skills
  • Trustworthiness, loyalty & discretion

(EPA) was founded in 1985 by seven European news agencies motivated by what they saw as a lack of alternatives to the British/American-centric picture services offered at the time.

In early 2003 EPA successfully made its service available to the worldwide market, beginning its global operations. In 2014 EPA also launched a global video service.

Along with the coverage from its shareholder countries, EPA has expanded its service to include its own coverage of North America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
