Das SRH Wald-Klinikum Gera ist ein modernes, wirtschaftlich und inhaltlich starkes Krankenhaus der Maximalversorgung mit Betten und hervorragender Entwicklungsperspektive. Wir sind Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus des Universitätsklinikums Jena. Unsere 26 Fachabteilungen, Institute und 23 zertifizierte Zentren bilden das gesamte medizinische Leistungsspektrum nahezu vollständig ab. Ein Netzwerk Medizinischer Versorgungszentren, ein Hospiz und ein Rehazentrum ergänzen das Angebot.
Wir gehören zur SRH - einem führenden Anbieter von Bildungs- und Gesundheitsdienstleistungen mit 17. Mitarbeitern. Die SRH betreibt private Hochschulen, Bildungszentren, Schulen und Krankenhäuser.
Die Klinik für Thorax- und Gefäßchirurgie ist in einem Gefäßzentrum integriert und verfügt über 34 Betten, weiterhin InterMediateCare-Kapazität und nutzt zusätzlich intensivtherapeutische Betten. Die Klinik verfügt über die volle Weiterbildungsermächtigung in den Facharztgebieten Thoraxchirurgie und Gefäßchirurgie. Alle Patienten werden interdisziplinär auf einer Gefäßstation behandelt. Eine umfangreiche Ausbildung in der Doppler- und Duplexsonographie der Gefäße kann gewährleistet werden. Es können alle konservativen, interventionellen und operativen Behandlungsverfahren am Gefäßsystem angeboten werden. Die Thoraxchirurgie stellt einen weiteren Schwerpunkt dar und ist Bestandteil eines von der Deutschen Krebsgesellschaft zertifizierten Lungenkrebszentrums. Das Leistungsspektrum umfasst alle Eingriffe am Brustkorb, an Lunge und Mediastinum einschl. der minimal-invasiven videothorakoskopischen Techniken. Die Roboterchirurgie im Thorax wird dieses Jahr eingeführt. In der Klinik wird außerdem die Schilddrüsen- und Nebenschilddrüsenchirurgie durchgeführt.
