As an Accountant, you will be a vital part in the Finance community.

You will contribute substantially to our daily business in all financial areas (accounts receivable accounts payable, bank accounting, tax, fixed assets general ledger) and to our monthly closing activities of different Airbus Defence and Space Entities in different SAP Systems.

You will provide data to enable educated decision making on management level and give visibility about performance vs. targets. You will highlight and analyze discrepancies and propose actions to optimize our accounting process performance. To do so, you will collaborate with your business partners from all directorates (e.g. Program and Project Organization, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales and other Finance departments). Moreover, you will support key change decisions in the project (business cases, rate adaptation, major modifications etc.).

Being an Accountant requires a robust knowledge on financial processes and tools, local legal (Gaap) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as a feeling for numbers and solid social skills to be able to manage your stakeholders in adversity towards the best business decisions for the company.

A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, persistence, and assertiveness are required to master this role.

As Central Accountant (d/f/m) for Projects and Closing Performance you will be in charge of ensuring that the consolidated closing objectives are met, i.e.

an on-time and on-quality delivery of the consolidated closing, by driving the closing processes and aligning each of Head Of Accounting and Head Of Consolidation and the business's contribution to that objective.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As Central Accountant (d/f/m) for Projects and Closing Performance, you will work closely with the Head Of Airbus Defence and Space Accounting and Consolidation, the Head Of Finance of the different business lines, the Head Of Accounting of the different countries, Technical Accounting and Airbus Group.

This includes:

Ensuring communication of the closing process/timeline and contributions thereto, including deliverables to be provided by TFDA and the business (lines).
Organising and preparing in collaboration with TFDA and the business the consolidated closing's meetings to be held based on the list of key closing topics (KCTs) determined.
Ensure the consistency of auditable and readily available information on key programmes, including centralising the quarterly consolidated accounting for key programmes and balance sheet exposure.
Translating financial information into fulfilling the deliverables towards the group, including a consistent presentation of key closing topics and disclosures.
