Who are we?:

At bunch, we are building the future of private markets
and we'd like your help
Investing in private markets is stuck in the 80s.

We're helping investors, founders and funds to save time, money and mental energy by eliminating legacy intermediaries, regulatory complexity, and low-tech administration.

We enable simple and streamlined solutions to invest in private markets; digital and all in one place.

We are looking for a Research Assistant (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, m/w/d) to work closely together with our General Counsel, Jessica McBride, on all aspects of building and scaling bunch's in-house legal department and providing legal support for bunch's product and strategic decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct legal research, particularly on the varied bank and payments regulatory issues, funds law issues and matters of corporate law that underlie bunch's product, and providing recommendations on product development and regulatory strategies
  • Help improve the contractual bases for bunch's product, including corporate, trust and investment documents as well as service and other operating agreements
  • Assist in matters of German / EU antimoney laundering and privacy law that are relevant for our operations
  • Work closely with bunch's automation, business development and operations teams
  • Get a firsthand look at how a company is built

What awaits you:

  • The opportunity to grow and thrive in a fastpaced environmental with a strong emphasis on learning and personal development
  • The possibility to take on responsibility early
  • 1on1 work with our General Counsel without traditional hierarchies
  • A lovely office in the heart of vibrant Berlin-Mitte
  • An international team and a friendly, humancentred company culture that is focused on empowering others and valuing unique perspectives
  • Have studied law at a German university and have completed the first state exam (_erstes Staatsexamen_) with at least "fully satisfactory" (_vollbefriedigend_) results
  • Native level proficiency in German and excellent written and spoken skills in both German and English
  • Be selfmotivated, detailoriented, organized and comfortable with responsibility
  • Be excited about working in a fluid, innovative, fastpaced and creative environment and about being a part of bunch's culture
  • Demonstrated interest in bank and payments regulatory law and/or funds law from a German and European Union perspective
  • Diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged

The scope of employment would be at least 10 hrs/week and up to 20 hrs/week, with a start as soon as possible.

At bunch, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees because we value and celebrate diversity.

We are an equal opportunity employer, which means we do not tolerate discrimination toward any of our applicants or employees.
