Your main tasks are:


As the Head of B2B Industry Sales you are our face to the market and lead the industry sales team (>8 Sales Managers).

You know the relevant players, dynamics, and trends of the food industry and you develop the specific added value that BBS provides with our high value raw materials as well as innovative services.

You define and implement your strategy to grow our customer base and target the relevant European food manufacturers with the goal of maximizing customer reach, sustainable revenue growth, and profits for us and our key suppliers.


  • Defining and implementing a successful industry strategy based on our ingredient portfolio
  • Disciplinary leadership of a sales team as well as close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of marketing, business development and R&D experts
  • Support, consulting and development of existing customers at top level
  • Acquisition of new customers in Europe and development of a defined customer base
  • Definition and implementation of pricing strategies as well as contract negotiations
  • Participation in trade fairs, congresses and relevant events, regular customer visits in Europe
  • Conducting regular trend analyses and potentials and adapting the results to the sales process in order to increase solution and conceptoriented sales
  • Budgeting and monitoring of the annual revenue and profit planning, including the definition of effective measures to achieve the goals

Your Key Profile:


  • A degree in business administration, food economics, food science or a comparable course of study or a significant commercial traineeship
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in B2B sales in the food industry
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Experience in market analysis and development, skills in product marketing and supplier management or purchasing are helpful
  • Fluent English and German is required any additional European language is of great advantage
  • Strong networking and integration skills, excellent stakeholder management internally and externally, high empathy and motivational skills
  • Passion for food and food trends
  • Confident and competent appearance, both virtually and in direct customer contact
  • Willingness to travel moderately (approx. 25 %) as well as a driver's license
  • You are well acquainted with all Microsoft Office programs and our CRM tool (Salesforce)
