Hydrogen is becoming a crucial part of the mobility transition.

To bring hydrogen-based propulsion to competitiveness hydrogen production needs to be expanded, prices need to decrease and supply chains need to be established internationally.

This master thesis targets the evaluation of technical and economical potential of high voltage direct current infrastructure combined with local hydrogen production in the EU (and North Africa).

Your will work on:

Demandside and supplyside market evaluation
Technical design and economical calculation of an initial HVDC grid to link relevant supply and demand sites
Calculation of average hydrogen production costs
You are completing your master's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, business administration, economics or a comparable course of study at a leading university
You have exceptional academic performance and impress us with your personal profile
You ideally have initial practical experience in industry or consulting
You have very good analytical skills
You like to work in a team, are motivated and committed
You communicate very well in English and ideally fluent in the local office language both verbally and in writing
