Marketing Innovation Lead (M/F/d)


About the role:


The Marketing Innovation Lead role is an opportunity to innovate brand marketing and go-to-market models to extend competitive advantage and achieve our aspiration to be the best marketers of science and technology and to make Pfizer the most trusted brand.


This is a new role within Biopharma, reporting into the Global Commercial GTM Strategy & Innovation Lead, and responsible for driving agile sprints to prototype innovation and rapidly test in pilot markets.

Success in this role will include the successful scaling of proven disruptive innovation


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of 8+ direct reports to incubate ideas, experiment and quickly pivot, persevere, or kill initiatives based on set KPIs
  • Develop innovation prototypes used to test, learn, and quickly iterate; must quickly problem solve to diagnose and optimize innovation
  • Provide quarterly stagegate updates detailing progress against predetermined standards; goal is to gain approval and additional funding to proceed or launch innovation
  • Implement innovation in pilot market, creating a plan to adapt to further markets and scale globally
  • Cultivate relationship with country leadership and local ecosystem stakeholders who can serve as potential innovation partners
  • Partner closely with the German innovation hub to incubate and bubble up local innovation to a global stage
  • Create and adhere to structured innovation process that facilities idea generation, incubation and experimentation.
  • Act as a key enabler in building a strong culture of innovation and driving the CMOs disruptive innovation agenda
  • Work closely with the Director, Innovation Sourcing EU to connect the dots for a panEuropean view ensuring that innovation is sourced across the EU, tested locally, and then has potential to be scaled globally

About you:

  • Experience (15+ years) in positions of gotomarket innovation with proven track record, especially in product development roles covering conception through implementation
  • Deep curiosity about the most impactful customer and company problemstosolve
  • Willingness to experiment, and comfortable creating a 'fail fast, learn fast' culture
  • Have courage to provide objective opinions, especially when evaluating go/nogo innovation decisions
  • Ability to build close relationships with ecosystem leaders to drive innovative partnership opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization without authority
  • Bachelor's degree, Advanced degree preferred
  • Deep understanding of humancentered design (Design Thinking)
  • Role model for the PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy)
  • Lead crossfunctional and crossbusiness projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
  • Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills in English and German
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to manage and coach direct reports and agile teams
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem
  • Experience with piloting innovations in multiple geographies
