We are looking for a
Business Controller (M/F/d) to join our team in Kehl(Germany) with a hybrid working policy, to act as a business partner to support and take part in management decision-making, risk analysis, performance management and business development, while ensuring governance and compliance for your location/region.


You are the first point of contact for the Division and Global Functional controllers ( Supply Chain, Innovation, Commercial/Service, Support Functions).


In your daily tasks, you will:

  • Support of the strategic and operational planning process as well as forecasting
  • Translate objectives into capacity planning and investment plans for the location, reviews/challenges man and machine hour rates, service tariffs, utilization, et cetera
  • Manage monthly reporting and analysis to monitor KPI's and targets to measure performance of the different functions/locations
  • Review and challenge performance with local business/function responsible persons. Secure necessary corrective actions are taken if and when required
  • Analyze financial performance to gain insight into business trends and identifies key drivers for achieving goals
  • Project reporting and control (pre/post)
  • Actively drive or be involved in improving above activities, providing better insights and become a proactive sparring partner for local business management.
You report to the local Finance Manager at present.

A split between Financial & Business control is foreseen which will then change reporting line into the Teamlead Business Control of RFS Division.


Next to the focus on Business Control, you are expected to work closely with the local Financial Controller and be able to back-up each-other if and when needed.

  • Strong experience in finance, controlling, forecasting and planning
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Practical experience in (manufacturing) cost accounting, calculation of tariffs and project control, as well as ERP/BI tools. In the Kehl location we use proALPHA as our ERP solution and additionally use various reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI, Hyperion)
  • Confident to work on your own initiative and communicate on different levels within the organization
  • Ability to maintain a global perspective, influence/impact, be service oriented and to effectively manage change
