Deputy Territory Data Protection Officer for Germany (M/F/d)
Frankfurt/Munich Full-time/Part-time permanent

Challenges that let you grow:


  • Supporting and if needed representation of the Territory Data Protection Officer (T-DPO) regarding the responsibilities for all Business Lines in Germany, e.g. in fulfilling the roles and responsibilities defined in our Data Protection (DP) procedures
  • Carrying out tasks of a local Data Protection Correspondent (DPC) for four Business Lines of the BNP Paribas Group based in Frankfurt
  • In close collaboration with T-DPO oversight, coordination and further development of a team of DPCs within the German Territory
  • Advising the business stakeholders and engage with LEGAL on projects (privacybydesign and bydefault, privacy impact assessments) and the strengthening of all kinds of DP related processing activities
  • Assessment of potential data breaches and incidents
  • Conducting regular awareness sessions across the business line to embed the DP principles and requirements
  • Supporting the T-DPO by preparing the communication with external stakeholders, German DP Authorities & Data Subjects
  • Representation of all DP matters in Committees

Skills that convince:


  • Several years of significant knowledge and experience in German Data Protection Law and ideally within the banking sector, also reflected in certifications (e.g. CIPP/E or similar
  • Experience in interacting with regulators
  • Experience in transversal management and working
  • Sound knowledge and interest in Information Technology and new digital technologies
  • Characteristics such as team ability, communication strength and flexibility
  • Very good German and English language skills in word and writing
