Our colleagues in the Legal Department are looking for an experienced
Senior Legal Counsel as commercial generalist with specific focus on unfair competition matters to independently advise our marketing team and the broader business in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.


HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Draft and negotiate agreements, both internal and with third parties;
  • Provide tactical and strategic legal advice for projects, business issues, and initiatives;
  • Advise on company secretarial, corporate governance, and corporate compliance;
  • Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including distributors, procurement, marketing, corporate affairs and external counsel;
  • Monitor regulatory developments for potential impact to the business;
  • Deliver commercial advice under challenging time frames while balancing multiple priorities;
  • Reporting to the Legal Director DACH and work closely with the European and global legal colleagues
  • The role may offer travel opportunities (both within Europe and to the US)

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist)
  • State examinations with grades with above average success
  • Experience working in a legal department or law firm (preferably in an international environment)
  • Experience in advising in the following areas of the business:
  • Unfair competition law (UWG)
  • Intellectual and industrial property law (advertising and promotions)
  • Commercial contracts
  • Corporate law
  • High personal integrity with the ability to work across business areas and management levels;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Very good communication and negotiating skills fluency in German and English

Preferred qualifications (training on the job is provided):

  • Legal expertise in product liability, food law, antitrust law and compliance of packaging claims
  • Ability to coordinate data protection questions with the central team and advise in local questions
  • Ability to work in crossfunctional, multidisciplinary, and global teams to develop commercial solutions.
