Owing to the continued growth of our school St. George's School seeks a well-qualified professional to teach in our flourishing secondary department, to start in August 2024.


The School:

Having opened in September 2013, St. George's School Munich has rapidly developed into a thriving community of over 800 pupils and 100 teachers.

The school's ethos of combining an enriching curriculum with family orientated care makes the school a warm and engaging place to work and learn.

The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school and we offer IGCSE qualifications to pupils in our Upper School. Students in the Sixth Form prepare the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

The Location:

The school's new campus is located in the area of Schwabing-Freimann, to the north of the city centre. The site enjoys good access to the U6 metro line, as well as the A9 motorway.

The Role:


We are seeking to appoint a qualified Secondary German Teacher to work in our flourishing secondary department to teach German as a first or second language.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential.

We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching that will inspire our pupils.

Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.


Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is a essential.

A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.

German teachers work across the whole secondary department and play an important role in monitoring pupil development. They keep careful track of pupils' progress and maintain regular dialogue with parents.

All applicants should hold a valid teaching qualification. We consider a degree in education (e.g. B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt), or postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g. PGCE) as valid. English language teaching certificates (e.g. TEFL/IELTS/CELTA) are not sufficient.
