The Chair of Inorganic Materials Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry is looking for a


research associate (m,f,x) for 18 months with 39,83 hours per week (TV-L E13):

Your tasks:
***- working on a research topic which is related to the interdisciplinary field of Precursor chemistries, and thin film science and technologies (ALD, MOCVD, ASD, ALE, Spatial ALD..),

***:
- synthesis and development of new ALD/MOCVD precursors,
- design and synthesis of new ligands for precursor chemistries,
- characterisation and analysis of new precursors (NMR, IR, UV-Vis, Single Crystal-XRD, TG-DSC etc.),
- preparation of project reports and presentation of data and projects including publication of scientific articles,
- research collaboration with project partners and exchange of data,
- supervision of PhD and Master students and the junior researchers.

Your profile:
  • a PhD (or equivalent degree) in Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Organometallic Synthetic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or a related field with a good publication record appropriate for the career stage of the applicant,
- profound knowledge of organometallic synthesis which is needed for the development of Precursor Chemistries for ALD/MOCVD-related processes,
- excellent skills in working independently in the state-of-the-art synthetic laboratory (including Schlenk-line techniques/glovebox),
- experience in handling/manipulation of air-sensitive compounds, Synthesis of organic ligands,
- scientific creativity with interest and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team,
- fluency in verbal and written communication skills in the English language is mandatory.
