Lab Leader Product Chemistry Analytics (M/F/d)
Product Chemistry Analytics contributes with its broad analytical expertise to the development of chemical pesticides. State-of-the-art analytical techniques are used, with a focus on liquid and gas chromatography with various detection techniques, e.g. DAD, FID and MS.

Through development and use of new analytical methods, we support both the optimization of active substance synthesis and the composition of formulations.

In addition, as a certified GLP testing facility, we conduct regulatory studies to characterize active ingredients and formulations that are required for the registration of crop protection products.

For special analytical questions that go beyond routine analysis, we also support our production sites in order to ensure the highest quality of our products.

We are looking for you as a new laboratory manager (M/F/d) for one of our active ingredient analysis laboratories.

You will lead a team of 3-4 technical employees and be responsible for the analysis of part of our active ingredient portfolio.


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You lead a lab unit with several technicians for the analysis of active ingredients used in crop protection products, encompassing new R&D projects as well as product stewardship activities
  • With your team develop and validate analytical methods with focus on chromatography techniques for the quantification of active ingredients, their impurities and degradation products and the corresponding metabolites
  • You provide analytical service to Process Research and Process Development teams
  • You conduct studies needed for the registration of active ingredients in compliance with the relevant requirements, guidelines and in full accordance with GLP regulations as Study Director
  • Your analytical expertise will enable our stakeholders in Regulatory Affairs, Product Supply and other functions to progress their projects
  • You represent the department in project teams
  • You actively evaluate new analytical techniques and equipment to foster innovation and technological excellence
  • You drive continuously improvement projects to increase efficiency of operations, with special attention given to improvements in digitization and data management

WHO YOU ARE

  • PhD or equivalent degree in chemistry, food chemistry or pharmacy
  • Broad knowledge of analytical sciences (at least HPLC and GC with different detection techniques and profound knowledge of organic chemistry
  • Experience in working in a GxP environment (preferably knowledge of GLP requirements ) is an advantage
  • Ambition to develop a solid understanding of the legal requirements in the registration process for active ingredients
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and team skills as well as interdisciplinary thinking
  • High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • Motivation to drive digitalization in an analytical laboratory
  • Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
