Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is one of the leading business departments in the Corporate Bank working with clients around the globe.

It has great dependency on IT platform to service the Bank's clients.

The group is working on technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services for customers as well as to achieve next level of business processes automation.

In-house IT team already achieved great success designing, building and rolling out into production its strategic platform for TF&L business.

Based on that success there is a further desire to build towards our strategic architecture.

Your primary focus will be to develop the strategic data model as part of the data strategy central to the tech transformation of one of the key revenue generating businesses in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

Work closely with business and dev teams across multiple projects to ensure orglevel central data model evolves to support project goals but stays consistent for the future.
Define, design, build and maintain data models for their function. Partner with business SMEs and system architects to gather and share knowledge across org boundaries.
Work together with data engineering and data analytics teams to ensure feasibility and supportability of the platform solutions using the central data model.
Articulate the "language" for business functions in a data model. Depending on the current projects, this will include conceptual, canonical, logical and physical data models.

Your skills and experiences

Data architecture experience; specifically designing and implementing data pipelines and protocol formats in enterprise system architecture.
Data modelling experience; specifically designing enterprise Logical data models and Physical data models (UML). Exposure to modelling tools
Enterprise Architect, Power Designer
Welldeveloped business and requirements analysis skills, including good communication abilities (both speaking and listening) and stakeholder management (all levels up to managing director)
Data management and governance experience — setting up and managing working groups, defining and enforcing data ownership, defining and enforcing data maintenance plans
Database design and report construction — Strong Data analysis skills, SQL experience.
Understanding of XML, JSON, Protobuf, GraphQL etc. model design as it relates to logical and physical data models and messaging structures
Knowledge of the Finance / Controlling domain and endtoend workflow for a banking & trading business to drive conversation with business SMEs.
Basic understanding of latest solutions around Data
Big Data, Cloud.
