As an Energy Specialist (M/F/D), you will be responsible for energy management at the Wernigerode site and coordinate energy controlling and reports.


You will also conduct internal audits and be responsible for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as the use of subsidies and relief.


Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for energy management
  • Assist with Nemak's sustainability goals and strategies.
  • Participate in the maintaining of the ISO 50001 certification
  • Assumption of the function as energy representative
  • Independently preparation of audits
  • Provide support and advice to the employer on all energy related issues
  • To assist in the planning, execution and maintenance of plant and equipment with regard to energy issues
  • Ensure that all employees in the company act in accordance with the energy requirements
  • Setting up and advising on, as well as implementing and maintaining, the energy management system
  • Support and implementation of HSEE relevant projects
  • Carrying out internal audits
  • Evaluation of load profiles (electrical)
  • Calculation and support of energy and electricity tax
  • Recording of taxrelevant data (electricity and gas)
  • Application for relief at the main customs office
  • Calculation of the electricity tax as well as of the entitled reliefs to the electricity tax
  • Evaluation of all plant investments from an energy point of view in cooperation with the controlling department
  • Execution of the invoice control
  • Document maintenance and creation

Position Requirements

  • At least 4 years of university education or at least 3 years of specialized vocational training and at least 2 years of specialized training as well as many years of professional experience with additional specialized training
  • Experience: Expert knowledge, complex interdisciplinary experience and know how (5 years+).
  • Certified internal energy auditor & commissioner (ISO 50001)
  • Personal skills: technical understanding / ability to work in a team / high resilience / flexibility /....
  • Secure knowledge of English
