Commerical Director for New Trucks Sales

Your Mission:


  • Support the transition from the traditional diesel business where Renault Trucks Germany is a challenger to become a leader of the growing electromobility segment.
  • Drive the required cultural revolution of our truck industry with creative and disruptive commercial solutions.
  • Drive Renault Trucks New Trucks Sales according to Renault Trucks global and local Strategy with special focus on our sustainability strategy
  • Drive sales performance of the company to achieve business objectives in term of volume, market share, and profitability, as well as ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and Coach your direct reports: Sales Managers, Key Account Manager and Private Dealer Managers.
  • Establish and intensify strong relationships to dealers and key customers.
  • Represent Renault Trucks on commercial issues in our governance with Headquarters and local business partners.
  • Support our Sustainability strategy by developing electromobility sales and develop a sustainability culture, road map, in the extended sales team.
  • Develop new business models around electromobility and charging infrastructure in order to support our customers in their decarbonization journey.

Your key responsibilities

  • Drive three sales channels: Privet Dealer Network, Key Account Team, Direct Retail Salesforce.
  • Together with the Managing Director, build the German market commercial strategy anchored into industry verticals / segments, driven by profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and analyse market trends, segmentation, and competitor's information to identify opportunities to grow our profitability and market share.
  • Monitor and study sales performance indicators.
  • Strengthen crossfunctional collaboration, especially with E-Mobility and Aftersales departments in order to gain common success in customer satisfaction.
  • Have the responsibility to develop a strong sales team in all aspects to ensure high engagement and high performance.
  • Permanently seeks to build diverse and agile commercial teams, keeping in mind succession plans and career development opportunities for the talents.
  • In order to lead the team to be impactful, the Sales Director will need to develop a strong segmentation approach to target our core verticals.
  • Integrate financing solutions and service offers in the commercial tactics.
  • Explore new business models like online sales, rental, pay per use, etc.
  • Critical role in managing the relationship with our business partners in order to strengthen a culture of trust and boost their engagement in our brand.
  • Work in accordance with the Volvo Group values / core values / behaviours also stipulated within the Code of Conduct.
  • Work with CM guidelines.

Your competencies

  • Bring a sharp commercial expertise to implement the company's strategy and develop sales plans.
  • Bachelors degree in business management or in a technical field of study or equivalent education with several years experience.
  • Intensive leadership experience.
  • Experienced in taking data driven decisions.
  • Strong strategy planning and analytical skills.
  • Several years of experience in BtB, preferably in selling investment goods.
  • Strong control of sales negotiation techniques.
  • Fluent in both speaking and writing German and English language.
  • Profound IT skills in MS office.
