Duties:


  • Represent the Brigade by providing technical guidance, policy input, and expertise in the coordination of 66th MI Brigade cryptologic activities with senior representatives of the Cryptologic Operations Community.
  • Offer expert assistance and consultation to senior leaders from Brigade through Department of the Army and NSA on matters and strategies supporting the Army?s Cryptologic Operations requirements.
  • Direct and manage projects through completion, providing special instruction on technical questions and difficult issues related to SIGINT matters.
  • Serve as the SIGINT Functional Lead to assigned countries providing oversight for the Combatant Commander (COCOM) over SIGINT Military to Military (SM2M) activities.
  • Conduct and direct short and long term planning efforts to analyze, assess, and integrate the brigade?s mission into the full range of ASCC, EUCOM, and INSCOM plans, operations, and activities.
  • Represent 66th MI Brigade SIGINT interests at highlevel forums, working groups, and committees in order to influence the review, coordination, and approval of programs, concepts, and activities for implementation.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time.

Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes providing technical guidance and oversight over cryptologic/SIGINT operations, identifying necessary SIGINT capabilities for mission requirements and collaborating with others to integrate SIGINT operational support into mission plans, operations and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS13).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations.

This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.


This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.


  • This is a(n) Intelligence Career Field (CF) position.
