WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


YOUR ROLE:


The Medical Science Liaison will:


  • Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical / scientific community.
  • Building and developing enduring relationships with HCPs, patient advocacy groups, professional societies, and institutions, creating constructive crossfunctional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • To focus on communication, education and reputation, aligning their activities with the needs of HCPs, fostering discussions and sharing an appropriate dissemination of scientific and clinical information regarding marketed and pipeline products, in a timely, ethical and customerfocused manner.
  • Liaising with Global Medical Affairs to align strategy and provide local market insight
  • Respond diligently and systematically to unsolicited customers' requests for scientific, technical or clinical information about Guerbet's products.
  • Engage discussions with key opinion leaders and regional thought leaders at key academic centers, professional organizations and medical societies in the determined countries / regions.

Scientific topics of interest include:
contrast agents, medical devices, medical imaging and interventional radiology in various disease areas.

  • Represent Guerbet at professional meetings, congresses and local symposia. Interpret and report findings with recommendations for action to relevant Guerbet's personnel.
  • Implement local and global strategies to support Guerbetsponsored trials, to facilitate investigatorinitiated studies with Guerbet's products and to develop educational initiatives.
  • Work to pair key customers' research and educational needs with available Guerbet's resources and provide them with the most uptodate information.
  • Facilitate preclinical research, clinical research or publication interest by key opinion leaders and regional thought leaders.
  • Manage Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS):
  • manages the proposals of IIS
- collect study proposals
- pre-evaluate IIS proposals (rationale, objectives, study design and valorization feasibility) to make a recommendation to the IIS Review Committee
- manages the contract signature and collects requested documentation after approval
- makes the scientific follow-up study, including valorization

  • Provide onsite support and assistance during product evaluation or trial process.
  • Provide educational support as requested by Marketing and Sales staff.
  • Provide assistance on special projects in conjunction with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Development, or Compliance departments as directed.
  • Provide support in collating and reporting data in connection with safety events that arise in the context of use of Guerbet's products.
  • Report changes in medical practices.

YOUR BACKGROUND:


  • MD, PharmD or PhD Degree is essential.
  • 35 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or comparable role
  • Solid experience in Key Opinion Leaders management
  • Experience in Radiology (exposure to Interventional Radiology is a big asset)
  • Experience in Oncology or Fertility area is an advantage
  • Knowledge of hospital environment and / or medical research environment.
  • Knowledge of guidelines, clinical research processes, national / regional regulations, and industry standards regarding the use of medicinal products.
  • Knowledge of national / regional regulations and industry standards regarding the interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining relationships with KOLs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and assimilate scientific and clinical data to the relevant audience.
  • Strong understanding of local healthcare systems, treatment guidelines
  • Travel 70% of the time.
