At Evotec's headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Sample Management Department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Informatics Scientist (all genders) - Data Management

Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

Lead the Data Management support team in the Sample Management group in Hamburg
Interact with customers and suppliers to ensure an efficient and flawless data transfer to the sample management database according to Evotec business rules
Ensure availability of the data to all internal relevant software or tools
Contribute to the set up of new data flows for biologic samples
Create new data flows in the sample management group to adapt to new compliance or process requirements
Interact closely with the R&D IT group to clarify the development needs of available internal tools or of databases
Ensure workflows documentation availability and training for users
Support global data management or informatic projects linked to sample management topics
Provide support for KPI tracking

Your ideal qualifications:

Master degree or PhD in computer sciences or natural sciences
Knowledge about scientific data management in a drug discovery & development context
Experience within Life Sciences and in different Data Management fields: databases, data workflows
Proven record of line management duties, ability to mentor and develop your reports
Excellent team spirit, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to navigate a dynamic work environment and adapt to changing demands
Programming skills (e.g., Python) and knowledge about relational databases (e.g., Oracle), experience in specialised software (e.g. Mosaic; Tibco Spotfire, PLSQL Developer, Knime) and a Lean/Six-Sigma Qualification (e.g., Green Belt) would be a plus
