we are looking for a talented and motivated Head of Finance & Operations to join our team in Berlin

Tasks

• Take charge in leading and managing the FinOps (Finance & Operations)

Department and its sub-functions:
People & Culture, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.

• Further develop these teams, mentoring three direct reports to ensure their professional growth and advancement.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, high performance and excellence.
• Oversee and own financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and bookkeeping.
• Manage and oversee all legal topics.
• Support the compliance team in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, particularly in medical product compliance.
• Collaborate closely with the People & Culture team to bring our People strategy to the next level.
• Work closely with crossfunctional teams to address business development strategies and develop ways to mitigate risks.
• Manage and optimise daytoday operations to enhance effectivity.

Requirements:

• Drive, motivation and ambition to foster a culture of innovative excellence and to thrive in a fastpaced, frequently changing environment.
• A handson mentality, like to get involved and can quickly get to grips with different topics.
• Highly developed communication skills in German and English: You manage to bring even complex topics to the point so that everyone understands them.
• Proven leadership experience of at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in finance & operations, with willingness to get familiar with compliance and HR topics.
• Outstanding logical and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Willingness to work from our office in Berlin at least 3 times per week.

We have invested our capital and time in the design and clinical validation of Mika to be Life Science quality in its clinical claims and safety, following a pharmaceutical drug development pathway.

Now we are ready to scale our 1st generation "Oncology based distress" product globally while also advancing our groundbreaking research in the clinical development of our 2nd generation product that positively alters the immune system itself.
