tasks:

***- Maintenance of _P. falciparum _cell cultures

  • Performance of immunological assays (in vitro) such as ELISA, Elispot, OPA, ADRB
  • Responsible for providing technical assistance to members of the group for immunological assays.
  • Organisation of the laboratory this includes but is not limited to ordering of stocks for the laboratory, contacting external suppliers for equipment services and speaking to internal services where necessary.
  • Quality management

profile:

***- Technical degree as a research technician (MTA, BTA etc.) or equivalent (undergraduate degree)

  • Prior experience in laboratory organization and lab work is necessary
  • Previous experience in cell culture, ELISA and flow cytometry desirable
  • Advanced skills in software suites such as Microsoft Office and GraphPad
  • Ability to work reliably, efficiently and independently.
  • Experience in extensive lab book/note keeping.
  • Willingness to work in an international and highly collaborative team of scientists.
  • Excellent communications skills in English and fluency in German.
