We are looking for a

Digital Communications Editor (full-time)

for an international sustainability conference


You will join a highly-engaged team for the planning and execution of a new, international sustainability conference that will be politically influential and highly attractive to the media.

The conference is a three-year dialogue format, in collaboration with the United Nations and high-ranking officials from political, economic, scientific and civil society initiatives.

Lutz Meyer & Company is a strategic communications agency.

We advise companies, interest groups and political organizations in the fields of strategy, campaign development and management, PR, crisis communications and political dialogue.

We are looking for Digital Communications Editor to work full-time (40 hours per week)


Tasks:


  • Research and develop relevant topics for the sustainability conference, with a focus on the 2030 Agenda and Social Development Goals (SDG)
  • Create texts for a variety of digital formats (social media, invitations, newsletter)
  • Establish and manage social media channels
  • Edit photos and design visuals for posts
  • Address a wide range of target groups from highlevel public, private and academic professionals to a young, resultsoriented audience by adjusting tonality and media channels
  • Engage with social media communities to grow followers
  • Follow the conference communications strategy, including language guidelines
  • Adhere to a strict project management timeline
  • Document all work for internal, as well as external teams

Experience:


  • A minimum of a BA degree in communications, digital communications, another languagefocused field or similar, qualifying experience
  • At least 35 years experience writing, editing and managing texts for digital communications at an agency or in a communications department of a company
  • Familiarity with the 2030 Agenda global issues
  • Techaffine with ability to use editing and scheduling tools
  • Experience working with international organizations, official government offices and highlevel political, corporate and civil society stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and German; texts will be written primarily in English, understanding original concepts and communications with stakeholders will be partially in German
  • Strategic thinking, while working effectively and handson in a structured manner
