JOB OVERVIEW:

TE Connectivity's Purchasing teams are responsible for sourcing materials, components, equipment and services, soliciting bids, reviewing requests for proposals and placing orders.

They perform cost analysis and quantity planning for raw materials, evaluate supplier reliability and develop new sources of supply as needed.

They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory levels and monitor the cost, schedule and scope of subcontracts to ensure the best quality at the best price.

They also seek and recommend cost-saving offers, such as comparing in-house production versus purchase, alternative sources of supply and supplier evaluation criteria, as well as creating specifications for new orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Tracking and implementation of the agreed targets for the Tactical Plant Purchasing PM/NPM area using KPI tracking
Tactical purchasing of PM/NPM materials and DL
KPI tracking and implementation of defined targets with the support of strategic purchasing and SCM
Supplier management (monitoring delivery dates/delivery problems, requesting and reminding delivery times)
Implementation of product group strategies with strategic purchasing and SCM
Support with complaints processing
Telephone contact with suppliers
Goods receipt and invoice reconciliation
Creation of master data
Project management tasks as part of projects involving purchasing

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

KPI tracking and implementation of defined targets with the support of strategic purchasing and SCM
Supplier management (monitoring delivery dates/delivery problems, requesting and reminding delivery times)
Implementation of product group strategies with strategic purchasing and SCM
Support with complaints processing
