    Smatched is a fast-growing startup that revolutionizes the way we pay for microtransactions by participating in quick surveys to subsidies cash payments. Smatched started in 2021 with its own App and has today more than 30k+ users.

    Tasks


    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Individual to join our team as a Data Analyst intern who will also be required to manage our CRM, conduct market research (web scraping is also a plus).

    In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various online sources to provide valuable insights and support our business decision-making processes. Your expertise in data analysis, and market research will be instrumental in driving our market strategies and competitive positioning.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Data Collection and Cleaning: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) raw data from diverse sources into usable formats, ensuring data integrity and accuracy through cleaning and normalization procedures.
    2. Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets using statistical methods and data visualization techniques to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that contribute to meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
    3. Data Reporting: Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, utilizing data visualization tools and storytelling techniques.
    4. CRM Management: The tools we currently use are Close & Apollo. Our analyst will need to learn how to use these effectively and set up sales automations from within the tools.
    5. Web Scraping: Develop and implement efficient and robust web scraping techniques to gather relevant data from various online sources, including websites, social media platforms, industry-specific portals, and other online repositories.
    6. Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research, including competitor analysis, consumer behavior analysis, and industry trends assessment, to support strategic decision-making and market positioning.
    7. Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization to improve data collection efficiency and analysis capabilities, leveraging programming languages, tools, and frameworks.
    8. Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product management, and business development, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support to drive business growth.
    9. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to validate data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data integrity throughout the analysis process.
    10. Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest web scraping techniques, data analysis methodologies, market research practices, and industry trends to enhance the organization's competitive advantage.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Proven experience in web scraping and data extraction using tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy, or similar technologies.
    • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
    • Experience in market research methodologies, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior analysis.
    • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of SQL and database management systems is a plus.
