Department of Internal Medicine V (Hematology, Oncology and Rheumatology).

  • We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and communicative Postdoc (M/F) with background in RNA biology and splicing analyses who is interested to perform competitive high quality scientific research in the field of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and hematopoietic stem cell research. Our team is focused on the biology of leukemic stem cells and therapy resistance. We aim to understand how stemnessassociated genes participate in alternative splicing and cooperate with splicing factor mutations in AML. To follow this question a broad number of in vitro and in vivo models are investigated. The final aim of our studies is to translate the experimental findings into novel treatment strategies for AML patients at diagnosis and relapse. The postdoc will work in a small research team of enthusiastic biologists & medical scientists embedded in a larger group of researchers at Medical Department V focused on AML research. In addition, the postdoc will be part of the Molecular Medicine Partnership Unit (MMPU) "Stem Cell Niche Networks"
