Beschreibung

Purpose:

  • Drive and strengthen the proactive and regular engagement with key stakeholders, including authorities, industry and governmental bodies in the field of sustainability and Human Rights & Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD). This includes strengthening adidas' profile as a leader in this field visàvis these groups.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically develop and lead important relationships to critical stakeholders like authorities, business associations, industry alliances, civil society organizations and peer groups to profile and leverage adidas' sustainability and Human Rights & Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) work.
  • Lead, manage and coordinate HREDD reporting obligations and correspondences towards supervising authorities (in particular with respect to the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act to BAFA, Germany and equivalent legislation in at supranational or national level)
  • Represent adidas at industry federations, governmental bodies (e.g., Partnership for Sustainable Textiles) and alliances (WFSGI, BSI) and substantially contribute to established working groups
  • Advise and brief internal functions on critical external trends and developments and best practices as applied by other companies.
  • Represent adidas externally as a spokesperson on our corporate sustainability efforts.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategy as it relates to adidas' sustainability and Human Rights & Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) work
  • Actively build and extend the network to other companies to drive the exchange of experiences and expertise and to seek opportunities for collaboration
  • Represent adidas in and coordinate and manage adidas' contribution to working groups of business associations, alliances and governmental bodies
  • Lead and ensure timely submission of HREDD reports to supervising authorities and handle all subsequent correspondence; act as key advisor on HREDD legislation at EU and national level within the adidas organisation
  • Lead and manage critical correspondences and interactions with governmental bodies, advocacy groups and industry federations on sustainabilityrelated matters
  • Develop position statements in close collaboration with Governmental Affairs, SEA, Finance & Investor Relations and Corporate Comms to be shared with stakeholders
  • Take a key role in the preparation of Q&As for shareholder/investor meetings.
  • Provide company presentations and updates at selected events
  • Manage memberships in environmental alliances and industry partnerships and ensure effective representation.

  • Requisite Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in a company operating in the global sporting goods, fashion or consumer goods industry facing high stakeholder scrutiny
  • Profound knowledge in HREDD approaches and practices
  • Comprehensive experience in the development of Executive Briefings and acting in the AGM backstage team
  • Strong experience in managing advanced sustainability related corporate reporting obligations.
  • Language skills: English and German (German preferred as mother language)

  • Creative, energetic, and innovative approach to identifying solutions.
  • Effective as a collaborator in complex internal and external organizations.
  • Strong social and communication skills: diplomacy, poise, maturity, and empathy.
  • Proactive and excellent communication (written and oral) skills in German and English
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships
  • Estimated travel: 35 days per month
