About the Role:
We are looking for a Technical Team Leader (M/F/d) to join our Pleinfeld team.

In this role you will ensure continuous improvement of product manufacturing processes to improve stability, capability, quality, cost & capacity and effective new product design/development/commercialization.

You will also ensure delivery of strategic options to enable transformation of our bulk cable manufacture business.


Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Business Units technical leader to understand needs and ensure technical resource allocations
  • Align with and support Business Group/ Business Unit strategies and priorities
  • Lead, develop and build the technical team in global collaboration with Business Group/Business Unit leadership
  • Grow the skills and capabilities of the technical team through development of local leaders and complex project champions
  • Steward the Gore Culture and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices are employed in the timely execution of projects
  • Assist and mentor other employees in performing their engineering, technical and New Product Development (NPD) commitments
  • Foster collaboration across functions and businesses
  • Lead and facilitate communication within and outside team
  • Ensure proper base level IP practices are employed

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Technical Field
  • Several years of experience in leading and influencing technical teams in NPD and/or Process Development
  • Experience in identifying and managing risks, navigating complexity and consulting appropriately to establish path forward
  • History of success in leading and mentoring technical employees
  • Proficiency with product development cycles and associated business tools and reviews
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategies and effective actions to meet business needs while managing competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional project teams and influence across functions as well as managing change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 5%
