The Quality Assurance Specialist (AML) forms part of the 1st line of responsibility and assists to ensure adoption and implementation of DLL's AML Quality Assurance Framework.

This role has been created to provide assurance over 1st Line AML/CTF e2e processes and their outputs.

The purpose is to monitor 1st Line compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure processes meet consistently high level of quality.


The role will assist in developing and embedding a framework to monitor and report on any identified issues that affect the quality of the process outputs and/or compromises compliance to regulatory requirements.


Day to day:


  • Establishing and enhancing the Quality Assurance framework focusing on overall improvements in quality assurance and timeliness of processing of requests.
  • Assist the DLL country network with AML Quality Assurance training.
  • As a centre of excellence, undertake assessments on the level of AML quality in the DLL country network by way of regular CDD file sampling.
  • Establishing and monitoring quality assurance measures in the DLL country network.
  • Reporting on quality assurance results and findings in the DLL country network, highlighting key issues identified or trends noticed.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and deficiencies based on both, assurance outcomes and identified systematic issues, that could be the result of a process and/or control weakness or gaps.
  • Supporting the relevant team to address and resolve any identified issues and gaps, coordinating necessary training to assist departments manage their risks and developing performance remediation measures.
  • Providing process, risk and compliance advice or escalating to Line 2 where required.
  • Maintaining open communication to ensure all quality assurance tools are accurate to current regulatory and business requirements.
  • Assisting and participating in User Acceptance Testing when required for upcoming system releases and process changes.
  • Liaising with other teams in First, Second
- and Third-Line risk concerning quality assurance matters.

  • Working towards achievement of related KPI's and Operating Level agreements.

Essentials:


  • A background in AML is strongly preferred with industry accreditation such as ACAMS or ICA being an advantage.
  • At least 35 years' experience in financial services.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or relevant role.
  • Experience in developing, embedding and advising on risk/ compliance obligations, process and controls.
  • Thorough understanding of methodologies of quality assurance practices.
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification is a plus.
  • You live and are permitted to work in the EU.
