    Head of Global Seed Production & Logistics - Cereals (m/f/d)

    We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team at the Business Unit Cereals as Head of Global Seed Production & Logistics - Cereals (m/f/d).

    If leading complex organizations is one of your strengths and you have a background in production and a love for plants, then you're in luck – as our new Head of Global Seed Production & Logistics - Cereals (m/f/d), you will oversee all activities related to providing top-notch hybrid and non-hybrid cereals seed to our customers. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our production and logistics operations within the business unit cereals.

    This is a full-time, permanent position.

    Your new workplace will ideally be at our business unit cereals processing site in Wohlde (Bergen), Germany, or one of our other sites in France or Poland.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Based on the business unit cereals strategy, anticipate long-term production capacity requirements and ensure their availability through corresponding investment planning and implementation
    • Plan, continuously monitor, and optimize the production organization, processes, and systems to maximize long-term efficiency
    • Develop and lead a team of direct reports across multiple locations responsible for the seed production of Business Unit Cereals crops
    • Aggregate global seed demand from national sales planning and plan the global production of all relevant crops
    • Implement processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, KWS Group Standards, and health and safety requirements

    Our requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business administration, production, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
    • Extensive experience in industrial production and logistics, particularly in seed production, processing, and logistics
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
    • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills to anticipate long-term capacity requirements and optimize processes
    • Proven ability to manage budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives
    • Excellent communication, intercultural, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders
    • Proficiency in English. Additional language skills, especially German, French, and/or Polish, are advantageous
