Tasks:


  • The Senior Employment Counsel will be the primary point of contact for HR and all other stakeholders (including management) for all labour and employment law topics, including works council matters.
  • Manage and assess employment law risks and provide practical, creative solutions to all business partners
  • Provide daytoday advice on a wide range of employment issues such as recruiting, hiring, compensation and benefits, pay practises, HR practises, performance management, terminations, employee investigations, and labour relations.
  • Developing and constantly refining frameworks for employment contracts and working closely with internal departments (e.g., Recruitment, HR, Payroll) to operationalize those agreements;
  • Drafting responses to government agencies
  • Providing overall strategic and tactical direction of ongoing and threatened employment legal disputes and litigation matters
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of scalable, worldclass employment policies and programmes that balance legal risk with business impact
  • Advising business, including senior leadership, on key developments, strategy, settlements, and other key decisions;

Requirements:


  • 1st and 2nd state examination in law with aboveaverage results or comparable degree Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Germany at a legal firm and/or inhouse corporate environment
  • You have substantial experience dealing with works councils and a solid understanding of work constitution law.
  • You work well both individually and collaboratively, and are adept at juggling and prioritising competing responsibilities in a fastpaced, demanding setting.
  • You will have an entrepreneurial attitude and will actively own your areas of responsibility.
