Description:

Patients from all over the world rely on the expertise of our staff as well as on state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatment methods.


The Berlin Center for Global Engagement as the platform of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) for research cooperations with the "Global South" is funding PRODIGY - PRactices of Development and International Cooperation with a focus on Global Health Engagement.

The goal of the project is the creation of an international knowledge exchange platform on maternal mental health.

It is embedded in existing South-South-North partnerships of the BUA with researchers, institutions and governments in Jordan, Vietnam as well as partners at the University of Oxford and the McMaster University Canada.

The Project is lead by professor Malek Bajbouj, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Prof. Daniel Strech, Berlin Institute of Health, Prof. Michael Zürn, Freie Universität Berlin, and Professorin Isabel Dziobek, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Die Stelle im Überblick

It is a part-time employment (29,25 h/week), which includes the following tasks:

We are looking for a research assistant to coordinate and support the development of specific therapeutic interventions and teaching materials in exchange with international experts with a specific focus on developing and implementing research quality criteria.

The project follows an explicit public and patient involvement approach.

The position involves

frequent exchange with international researchers and experts to coordinate and jointly develop therapeutic interventions and teaching materials on participatory approaches and reasearch quality
close cooperation with institutions in Berlin, namely Charité, Berlin Insitute of Health, Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität
coordination of capacity building workshops and conferences in cooperation with international partners
development, implementation and analysis of structured interviews on German health development assistance from a partner perspective
Research assistants will be given sufficient time for their own scientific work in accordance with their employment contract
Employees are given sufficient time for their own scientific work in accordance with their employment relationship.

Required:


We are looking for a motivated and talented coordinator with a scientific background in medicine/ psychology/ social sciences/ public health/ global health.


Following criteria are equally important:
Previous experience in working as part of an international team
Cooperating with other scientists and instutitions
Being able to work in a team and independantly
Masters degree
Excellent English proficiency
Previous experience in project coordination
Excellent communication skills
