The Role:


  • Support the Head of Technical Optimization in managing technical optimization with a focus on innovation related topics.
  • Support the Team Lead of the Technical Innovation Hub in managing Innovation across the Renewables OpCos
  • Work with team colleagues, experts and stakeholders to drive the development of a businessvalue focused innovation and optimization strategy and plan.
  • Innovation Portfolio management
  • Create new project ideas and assess these against strategic objectives and technoeconomic viability with experts and business colleagues.
  • Communicate within Renewables OpCos to share best practices and use synergies across the whole RWE Group
  • Deliver agreed part of innovation and optimization project plan with regards to time, cost quality, HSSE, the extraction of maximum value and to facilitate smooth business implementation.
  • Manage and support project managers and other project stakeholders and ensure appropriate project reporting.
  • Work closely with our procurement and legal team to structure contracts to ensure best value and learning for RWE.
  • Support sustainability topics within Technical Optimization.
  • Manage and promote IP and knowhow development and protection.
  • Promote a positive culture of HSSE awareness and continuous improvement and learning

Requirements:


  • Successfully completed university degree in engineering, economics or natural sciences or comparable energy technology experience
  • Several years of relevant business experience
  • Good conceptual, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Ability to build and motivate networks and project teams to deliver change.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills incl. senior levels with an ability to flex style depending on cultural differences.
  • Commercial judgement that is results oriented, openminded and able to spot possibilities in uncertain and complex environments.
  • Selfdirecting, working independently and able to identify key priorities and plan work accordingly.
  • Operational and/or technical experience in Onshore Wind is desirable, as is experience in innovation.
  • Understanding of applied project management is desirable.
