- Lead and manage mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financial restructuring transactions for clients in various industries
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including private equity firms, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs
- Provide strategic and financial advice to clients, including valuation analysis, industry trends, and transaction structuring
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level bankers, providing guidance on transaction execution and career development
- Contribute to the growth and development of the M&A practice in Düsseldorf.
- Collaborate with other directors and senior management to set and execute the firm's strategic priorities
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- At least 8 years of investment banking/M&A experience.
- Proven track record of successfully executing complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain long-term client partnerships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to clients and internal stakeholders
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior and mid-level bankers
- Fluency in German and English is required; additional languages are a plus
