The remuneration is based on TV-L, E-13 (75%) and the position is initially limited to 3 years, with the possibility of extension.

About the position

Your qualifications

Excellent or very good master's degree in (health) economics, public health, epidemiology, demography, mathematics, or statistics
Strong expertise and experience in programming in R or Python
Expertise and experience in the field of empirical data analysis
Affinity for statistical computing and computational social science topics
Interest in public health topics and health policy analysis
Scientific curiosity
Ability to work in a team, creativity, structured work

Tasks

Development, adaption and advancement of public health NCD simulation models for the German context
Estimation of economic and epidemiologic model parameters from various primary and secondary data sources
Conduct and supervision of systematic searches to identify data sources and parameters for simulation models
Application of models to analyze and compare the longterm health economic impact of interventions and health policies to prevent NCDs
Close collaboration with colleagues in the team and with national and international cooperation partners
Preparation of research papers and conference presentations

Our offer

A 75% position as research associate with the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree (Payment will be based on the Collective Agreement for the Civil Service (TV-L)). The position will initially be limited to three years.
