About the position

Your qualifications

  • Excellent or very good master's degree in (health) economics, public health, epidemiology, demography, mathematics, or statistics
  • Strong expertise and experience in programming in R or Python
  • Expertise and experience in the field of empirical data analysis
  • Affinity for statistical computing and computational social science topics
  • Interest in public health topics and health policy analysis
  • Scientific curiosity
  • Ability to work in a team, creativity, structured work

Tasks

  • Development, adaption and advancement of public health NCD simulation models for the German context
  • Estimation of economic and epidemiologic model parameters from various primary and secondary data sources
  • Conduct and supervision of systematic searches to identify data sources and parameters for simulation models
  • Application of models to analyze and compare the longterm health economic impact of interventions and health policies to prevent NCDs
  • Close collaboration with colleagues in the team and with national and international cooperation partners
  • Preparation of research papers and conference presentations
