following position starting at the earliest opportunity and limited to

Research Scientiest (m-w-d)

The salary will be up to 50% Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, if the personal requirements and tasks are fulfilled.***
Tasks:

Synthesis of functional oxides, in particular iron garnets, by different methods e.g. solid state synthesis, dif

- ferent soft-chemistry approaches, thin film techniques, preparation of dense ceramics

Comprehensive characterization of the samples for instance via Xray diffraction, various physical and

chemical analytical methods, thermal analysis und spectroscopic methods

When indicated synchrotron or neutron measurements at major research facilities
Interpretation and documentation of the results and writing of publications
Participation in teaching (lab courses, exercises, tutorials)

Requirements:

Master/diploma degree in the field of chemistry, physics, materials science, chemistry teaching (grammar

school) or a related field

Knowledge in synthesis of complex oxides by solid state synthesis and softchemistry methods
If possible experiences in thin film preparation techniques like spincoating, Ink-Jet printing or PLD
Sound knowledge in Xray diffraction
Knowledge and practical skills in physical characterization methods in particular magnetic investigations,

conductivity measurements and SEM/EDX

Fluency in English, good communication skills and an interest in interdisciplinary cooperations
Knowledge of German is advantageous but not required
