Joint Operations Planner


Key Role:


Perform joint operational planning and assist leading and coordinating the activities of joint planning groups and operational planning teams composed of members from across the CCMD staff and its components.

Lead and coordinate input from staff and components in the writing, staffing, and production of a comprehensive annual theater campaign order and Commander directed accelerated planning collaboration with the client headquarters and regional organizations for developing mutual operations, activities, and investments (OAls).

Operate and update the campaign order system of record to facilitate the tracking, execution, and assessment of the theater campaign.

Develop, coordinate, and publish fragmentary orders to the campaign order.

Plan, support, and coordinate campaign-level activities with other geographic and functional combatant commands and other government agencies to achieve campaign-level objectives.

Prepare briefings for command leadership. Provide support to related working groups and boards. Support administrative activities as required.


Basic Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience in Joint Operations and Planning
  • 5+ years of experience with direct support to CCMD Campaign Planning and Operational Execution
  • 3+ years of experience with the military or DoD at a Service Headquarters, Service Component Headquarters, or Combatant Command
  • Experience in IT creating reports, briefings, and documents using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to communicate Joint Operational concepts and risks to a broad audience, including GO, FO, and SES level audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:


  • Experience in the full range of planning, developing, coordinating, executing, and analyzing various DoD plans
  • Knowledge of JP 30 and JP 50
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186, annualized USD).

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
