TE Connectivity's Tooling Teams perform the manufacturing functions related to metal working dies and tool making.

They are responsible for completing all assignments to construct, modify and condition metal working dies and may fabricate new gages, cutting or forming tools and fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specifications.

They perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions; recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered; and solve problems relating to unusual materials, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process.

Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

You report to the Machining and Tool Shop Manager.
You provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the tool mechanics and machining mechanics
You are responsible for carrying out your tasks while considering quality, costs, and time
You build and maintain relationships as a team player with colleagues within your organization
You build and maintain relationships as a team player with colleagues in adjacent and overlapping organizations
You act by environmental, health, and occupational safety regulations
You act by ethics and workplace safety regulations
You motivate your team, coach them, and ensure the continuous development of your team
You ensure the timely and highquality provision of tools for production
You support your team and production in addressing issues and meeting daily targets
You ensure the maintenance of spare parts inventory
You maintain the internal maintenance system
You plan maintenance activities and take appropriate measures in case of unplanned breakdowns
You actively work towards increasing the tool's lifespan
In your role, you actively collaborate with production and the quality department to maintain and continually improve quality
You support Manufacturing Engineering in implementing optimizations and product launches, both technically and operationally

What your background should look like:

You have completed vocational training as a toolmaker and hold a degree as an industrial master or technician or an equivalent qualification
You have several years of experience in team leadership, including the promotion and reflection of your employees that comes with it
You possess the ability to develop individual development plans to improve weaknesses in your team and leverage strengths
You have several years of experience in the maintenance and servicing of dies
You have a strong knowledge of controlling and manufacturing spare parts
You have good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, and proficiency in process software
You have CAD/CAM experience
Ideally, you have experience with CNC machining processes
You speak German on a good level
