About the Role
We're hiring a Kitchen Operations Associate to join us in building the most exciting food service in Berlin.
As a team player and doer, you'll work closely with Huuva Venue Managers to reach operational goals and support the setup of new Huuva Kitchens from scratch.
We seek a professional and organised kitchen talent who's not afraid to get her hands dirty and also excels in making operational analyses and turning those into real improvements on the kitchen floor.
- You will build, develop and manage robust and scalable kitchen operations based on data, customer feedback and your own observations to meet the quality and kitchen operations targets.
- You will work together with the Venue Managers to support them in doing the best possible job to reach the operational goals. This can include, for example, implementing new brands, iterating the kitchen layout and equipment, negotiating supplier deals, supporting recruiting, training the kitchen crew, redesigning the menu, and simplifying inventory, among other things.
- You will work on launching new Huuva kitchens. This can include but is not limited to project management, drafting kitchen layouts, selecting and sourcing equipment, negotiating with suppliers, setting up inventory, managing stakeholders, doing menu design and analysis, hiring, and training.
- You will get support along the way, but you are expected to solve challenges within the set budgets and timelines independently.
What We Expect
- Full kitchen management experience, incl. COGS, menu development and team leading.
- You enjoy building things from scratch and like to work with people in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- 5+ years of experience in fastpaced kitchens across different cuisines.
- Hiring, training and teamleading experience.
- Great local network with suppliers and other key stakeholders in the gastro field.
- Passion for great food, an excellent eye for detail and dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience day after day.
- Hunger to grow, learn and get things done. You thrive on rethinking how commercialgrade kitchens can perform more efficiently with top quality, safety and customer experience.
- You have a high bar for your work, and you demand the same from your peers and team members.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
- You can grasp operational numbers quickly and translate them into actionable improvements on the kitchen floor.
