Based on our mission of "impactful, agile auditing that really matters", the division Group Audit provides independent, objective assurance and advice to numerous clients (e.g. Audit Committees, Boards of Management, Senior Leaders within Munich Re Group).


As part of the Global Audit Community, Group Audit acts as center of competence to assess whether processes, structures, systems in the various departments like Underwriting, Claims, Accounting etc.

fulfil internal and external requirements and recommends improvements in processes and controls.


To support our audits in the area of data analytics, we have a dedicated team of data analysts who use various tools and methods to extract, transform and analyse data from different sources.

The data analytics team supports the auditors with advanced data analytics tasks (e.g., text mining), evaluates and implements digitalization opportunities for Group Audit, such as automation, and provides expertise for audits related to topics such as artificial intelligence or data protection.


Becoming an intern in Group Audit will provide you the chance to gain insights into the processes and work practices of different departments of the whole MR Group both in Munich and in the International Organization.

Your internship can be full
- or part-time and should last at least three months.


Your Job
Support the MR Group Audit team in regular audit activities and projects:

  • Data analytics projects
  • Digitalization projects
  • Supporting datadriven audits
  • Internal workshops and audit community meetings/conferences

Your Profile

  • Enrolled at university in the fields of information technology, computer linguistic, data science, or other fields with quantitative focus and affinity to economics
  • Data analytics & visualization skills
  • Good understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and techniques, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI, such as Python or R
  • Reliable, accurate and precise way of working
  • Ability to grasp new topics quickly
  • Enthusiasm about developing and implementing new ideas, while having a practical outlook
  • Very good command of English; German is a plus
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills
Students of countries outside the EU are requested to send their residence/work permit.
