What we do

Cambrium's mission is to trigger the next wave of material innovation. We are leveraging the power of biotechnology to design and develop cutting-edge materials for a greener tomorrow. We enable new biomaterials in cosmetics, fashion and plastics by harnessing nature's building blocks.

We have built a platform based on an automated laboratory, machine learning and synthetic biology to design and develop novel protein materials with enhanced chemical and physical properties.

Your role


As Cambrium's Head of Marketing, you will be an essential part of our Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO.

As an early employee, you will have an outsized impact, shaping the company through your experience and efforts.

The Head of Marketing is a strategic position encompassing branding, communications and marketing at this stage of the company.

You will be able to independently translate the company's strategy into operational project plans and execute them to speak directly to our stakeholder personas.


What you can expect to do:

  • Drive the evolution of Cambrium's brand positioning in a clear and consistent way that resonates with our target audiences
  • Plan and execute a marketing strategy for the company and products in a datadriven manner
  • Create and implement a communication strategy in the company's early stages
  • Manage and refine the organization's online presence
  • Grow and manage a marketing team with the company's needs
  • Plan and manage the marketing, branding and communication budget

Profile:


\_\_You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Excited by technical solutions to the problems with the material world
  • Proven 5+ years experience as Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, or similar role
  • Scaling startup experience a plus
  • Data/metrics and creating emotional connection with a brand excites you equally
  • Motivated to learn and communicate about technical topics in the realm of biotechnology and machine learning

Your skills:


  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Marketed ingredients or materials B2B into FMCG
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of web analytics, ad campaigns
  • Data analysis
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to empathize with and foresee the needs of our customers and stakeholders
  • Budgeting and spend management
